Consulate Appointment

Today was our consulate appointment. As a group we took an oath then turned in all our paperwork. The consulate will issue Emily a visa and then we can go home! Emily will travel on a Chinese passport in her Chinese name. She becomes a citizen once we land in San Francisco!

They don't allow cameras in the consulate but this is the outfit Emily wore! Thank you to my wonderful friend Krystal for making the dress and hair bow for her appointment. I would have never met her and her husband if not for this journey and I am so grateful for her friendship.

We should receive Emily's visa around 4 tomorrow then we are taking a van to Hong Kong. On Friday morning we fly home! It will be a long day as we leave Hong Kong at 11:30 am, which is still Thursday in Denver, and arrive home Friday at 3:40 pm. That includes a three hour layover in San Francisco to get thru customs. To anyone I may know on the San Francisco to Denver flight I apologize in advance!
